Shangrila Vegetarian Restaurant, A Supporter Of Animal Sanctuaries All Around

After a delicious meal, I often times like to come here to talk about the experience that just satisfied both my belly and my taste buds. Lately, my wife has talked me into getting away from meat for a while which I warned her would be a difficult task, but if she is up to the challenge then I’ll oblige. I’ll be honest, it didn’t take much convincing! Just a few days ago, before Thanksgiving, she took me to a wonderful vegan restaurant in San Francisco called, “Shangrila Vegetarian Restaurant,” and to put it bluntly, it wasn’t anything short of amazing.

I had been a few vegan places before and wasn’t ever impressed, but Shangrila really sets in a whole new perspective and creates a whole new idea of what I think about eating vegan. The establishment is an extreme supporter of animal sanctuaries, such as the animal sanctuary of St. Croix Valley and holds animals in such high regard which I found to be a compassionate thing of them to do. Just like animal sanctuaries across the nation, Shangrila is protecting the animals and their rights to a healthy and happy life.

As soon as you walk it, you are touched with awe at the pleasant atmosphere. No, let’s not be silly, you’re not eating in a jungle like the atmosphere of the famous Rainforest Cafe. The atmosphere is pleasant and mellow; modern, yet classic. You can understand my difficulty explaining the look and feel of this place I hope.

Personally, I believe this was a good choice on my wife’s part as I absolutely love Chinese food, but then again, who doesn’t like Chinese food? It was delicious with great customer service, although, my love for meat runs strong. This was a good introduction to the vegan lifestyle, but I am going to need a bit more convincing and trying new things.  My overall score of the Shangrila Vegetarian Restaurant is a 5/5 because I found nothing wrong.
